Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (usually but not always accompanies Sexual Desire Disorder). Women who suffer with this may want to have sex but have much difficulty finding the pleasure of arousal. The 5% incidence doesn’t sound like much until you think about it–that’s the same as one in 20.
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (Low desire). Remember, that this is not counted a disorder unless it’s disrupting the woman’s life. Around 10% of women suffer with this problem. Important: Suffering with a sexual disorder does not simply make sex not fun. Better sex leads to more energy, more creativity, increased confidence, less depression, and improved overall health.
Female Orgasmic Disorder: Again around 1 in 20 (or 5%). Here women can become aroused but have much difficulty with orgasm. This can be so frustrating that sex becomes a frustration that they avoid.
What is The Orgasm Shot® (O-Shot®)?
The O-Shot® procedure uses blood derived growth factors (platelet rich plasma or PRP) to rejuvenate the vagina and treat urinary incontinence and sex problems.
Who can benefit from the O-Shot® procedure?
Women who leak urine when they laugh, cough, sneeze or jump, and women who have problems having an orgasm or who have low sexual desire.
Patients have reported the following post-treatment benefits:
- Enhancement in libido and sexual desire
- Heightened vaginal and clitoral sensitivity contributing to a stronger orgasms
- Decreased urinary incontinence
- Improved vaginal lubrication
- Reduction in pain during intercourse
- Increased ability to experience a G-Spot orgasm
- Enhancement of skin on the vulva
Multiple studies have shown that PRP can be used to improve blood flow, increase collagen production, regenerate nerve, and remodel scars into more normal tissue.
How the O-Shot® procedure is performed?
When you arrive we will ask you to fill out some questionnaires and consents. Dr. Ward will then numb the vaginal and clitoral region (numbing cream and local anesthesia) while you are seated on the EmSella.
The next step in your procedure with Dr. Ward is to drew about 6-8 ccs of your blood using a venipuncture (the puncture of a vein as part of a medical procedure, typically to withdraw a blood sample or for an intravenous injection). Using a centrifuge and designated FDA approved tubes, the blood is processed via spinning, and the platelet-rich plasma and growth factors are harvested into a syringe.
Dr. Ward will then inject a small amount (1 cc) of the spun platelet-rich plasma into your clitoral glans. Following which, the remaining 5 ccs are injected under the vaginal skin around the G-spot area.
There is no down time afterwards and sexual activity can resume that evening if so desired.
Are there any side effects to O-Shot® procedure?
Since this procedure focuses on injecting the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma back into their system, complications, if any, are rare. However, since the platelet-rich plasma has to be processed after extraction, it is very important to maintain a sterile environment throughout. If the PRP is contaminated, re-injection will be compromised.
These procedures are highly sensitive, so do your research carefully and thoroughly. This is why we strongly recommend picking a trusted and licensed doctor for your orgasm therapy treatment.
Dr. Julia Ward is a licensed O-Shot® provider and a member the Cellular Medicine Association. She follows strict medical etiquette to ensure that your health is never at risk. She has a decades-worth of experience and have performed multiple orgasm therapy treatments. If your provider is not listed on the Cellular Medicine Association directory, they are not certified to do the procedure and they should not be trusted.
Can the O-Shot® procedure be combined with any other treatments to enhance results?
We recommend combining this with the Emsella. Emsella is a unique form of pelvic muscle treatment. It utilizes High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate the entire pelvic floor area and create deep and intense pelvic floor muscles contractions, helping to restore neuromuscular control. A single Emsella session brings thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions, which are the key in muscle re-training in incontinent patients. All this is done without any effort on your part and without getting undressed. Each Emsella session is 30 minutes. It is recommended to do 2 sessions per week for 3 weeks to get maximum benefit.
